The proposed collaboration connects Ramaco’s exploration-stage Brook Mine with the technical expertise of Indium Corporation, a global manufacturer based in Clinton, New York. Indium specializes in refining and developing high-performance materials essential for semiconductor packaging, thermal management, and defense manufacturing. By leveraging their combined capabilities, both companies intend to evaluate how the Wyoming site could support a more resilient domestic source for these materials.
While the agreement marks a significant step for the Brook Mine project, the arrangement remains in the preliminary stages. Any definitive supply or offtake agreements depend on successful due diligence, the maturation of the Wyoming site into a commercial-scale operation, and the finalization of legal contracts. Ramaco CEO Randall Atkins noted that the relationship is designed to diversify U.S. access to critical inputs, while Indium President Ross Berntson emphasized the potential to solve supply challenges through new material sources.
