Breezeline Partners With DIRECTV to Launch Streaming Bundle

Breezeline is integrating DIRECTV’s streaming platform into its service portfolio, offering subscribers live sports and entertainment packages bundled with high-speed internet. The partnership, which includes a two-year price guarantee and satellite-free access, aims to leverage Breezeline’s fiber-powered infrastructure to deliver a modernized, app-based viewing experience for residential customers.

The collaboration allows Breezeline customers to access live programming via the DIRECTV Gemini device or the DIRECTV app. Chief Commercial Officer Bart Nickerson stated that the move prioritizes modern viewing technology, while DIRECTV COO Mike Wittrock emphasized the goal of simplifying access to news and live sports. The service distinguishes itself by offering regional sports coverage that exceeds that of competitors like YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV, featuring 4K streaming and a Multiview option for watching four simultaneous broadcasts.

Beyond technical features, the companies are introducing a financial incentive for subscribers. Customers who bundle their internet service with a DIRECTV subscription receive a $5 monthly discount on their Breezeline bill. The packages are offered without annual contracts, and the two-year price lock is designed to shield users from mid-term rate hikes. Based in Miramar, Florida, Breezeline currently serves as the eighth-largest cable operator in the United States, providing connectivity across 13 states ranging from Connecticut to West Virginia.
