The newly acquired properties include four Texas sites in Lewisville, Fort Worth, Saginaw, and North Richland Hills, alongside a strategic location in the Tennessee vacation hub of Pigeon Forge. McLain Hoogland, president of the Highland Ventures-backed group, attributed the expansion to the team's ability to navigate current economic pressures in the quick-service restaurant sector.
Zach McLaughlin, vice president of operations, noted that the acquisition aligns with the group's objective of scaling their service model, which prioritizes community-focused engagement. Founded in 2012, Hoogland Restaurant Group remains a significant partner for Marco’s Pizza, which currently ranks as the fifth-largest pizza chain in the nation with over 1,300 locations globally.
