The expansion introduces 30-ton crane capacity and increased vertical clearance, specifically engineered to streamline the assembly of complex, large-scale systems. According to Ben Lunduski, Vice President of Operations, these upgrades will fundamentally shift the facility’s material handling capabilities and workflow efficiency. The company expects the added infrastructure to reduce assembly bottlenecks and allow for more concurrent projects on the factory floor.
Beyond technical capacity, the investment signals a long-term commitment to the Central New York region. President Pat Morocco noted that the expansion supports both current order volume and the company's future growth trajectory. To manage the increased production load, Bartell plans to expand its local labor force, creating new roles for skilled workers in the community. While construction is currently in its early stages, the project underscores a period of record-level growth for the industrial manufacturer.
