Can-Am Refines Off-Road Lineup for 2027 with New Tech and Utility

BRP Inc. has unveiled its 2027 Can-Am off-road fleet, focusing on mechanical refinements and expanded factory-installed utility packages. The update spans the Defender, Maverick, and Outlander families, introducing a revamped HD10 powertrain, a second-generation dual-clutch transmission for the Maverick R, and enhanced connectivity features across high-end trim levels.

The 2027 Defender lineup introduces the XU model, a trim level configured for immediate utility with a headache rack, bed wall extender, and specialized tool holders. Beneath the frame, the Defender HD10 receives a significant boost with a new 80-horsepower Rotax triple-cylinder engine, paired with a redesigned chassis aimed at improving both ride comfort and job-site performance. Drivers of the Limited and Lonestar packages will now interact with a 10.25-inch wireless touchscreen, which supports over-the-air software updates and integrated BRP GO! navigation.

Performance-oriented riders see updates across the Maverick series. Every 2027 Maverick R now utilizes a second-generation Rotax dual-clutch transmission featuring an extra-low gear designed for high-torque, low-speed navigation. Safety and durability improvements are standard, including steel-braided brake lines and integrated window nets. Meanwhile, the trail-focused Maverick Sport and Trail models gain a new X package, bringing LED lighting and full doors to the factory build. The Outlander ATV range rounds out the updates, with the mud-ready Outlander X mr now available in a MAX configuration and the Pro series gaining additional protective accessories.
