Caliber Public Safety Debuts AI-Driven Quality Assurance for 911 Centers

Dispatch supervisors typically review only a fraction of incoming emergency calls due to time constraints, leaving the majority of operations unmonitored. North Little Rock-based Caliber Public Safety is now addressing this gap with Caliber Insight LS, an AI-powered tool designed to automate standards-based scoring for entire dispatch volumes.

The software integrates directly with existing Caliber CAD systems to ingest XML data, evaluating every call against NENA and APCO benchmarks. By scoring interactions on a 100-point scale, the system identifies anomalies in dispatch timing, unit progression, and resource allocation. When a call falls below a configurable threshold, the platform generates a detailed report and an AI-assisted narrative summary, highlighting specific procedural lapses that require management intervention.

Beta testing in Howard County, Missouri, demonstrated the platform’s impact on operational efficiency. Before implementation, the agency’s supervisor could manually audit only five calls per month. With the automated tool in place, the center completed reviews for more than 500 calls within a three-week window. Beyond routine coaching, the data produced by the system supports agencies in securing grant funding, justifying staffing budgets, and providing defensible records for internal audits or accreditation processes. The tool is available immediately for agencies utilizing Caliber’s dispatch infrastructure.
