Main Street Capital Backs Midstream Valve Partners in $39M Deal

Main Street Capital Corporation has injected $39.3 million into Tomball-based Midstream Valve Partners, marking a significant minority recapitalization for the energy infrastructure supplier. The investment combines first lien senior secured term debt with a direct equity stake, formalizing a partnership with the firm’s founder to support ongoing operations.

Founded in 2019, Midstream Valve Partners operates as a distributor of valves, actuators, and flow-control hardware. The company serves a client base that includes pipeline operators, engineering firms, and fabricators across the continental United States. This capital infusion arrives as the energy sector continues to demand specialized infrastructure components for refining and midstream projects.

Main Street Capital, a Houston-based investment firm, focuses on providing customized debt and equity solutions to lower middle market companies with annual revenues typically ranging between $10 million and $150 million. By structuring this deal as a mix of debt and equity, Main Street maintains its strategy of partnering with management teams to facilitate transitions and growth without requiring a full buyout.
