Idefirix, an antibody-cleaving enzyme, is designed to address the immunological hurdles faced by highly sensitized patients who carry donor-specific antibodies. These patients often endure longer wait times for compatible organs due to the risk of transplant rejection. By clearing these antibodies, the treatment aims to improve access for those who might otherwise remain ineligible under standard allocation systems.
