The Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters is crossing party lines in the 2026 election cycle, pledging support for Governor Josh Shapiro’s re-election while endorsing a split-ticket slate of congressional candidates who have committed to the Faster Labor Contracts Act.

The union’s decision focuses on legislative alignment rather than partisan loyalty, targeting candidates who have demonstrated tangible support for labor protections. President Bill Hamilton emphasized that the organization is prioritizing action over rhetoric, seeking to solidify a coalition in Washington and Harrisburg capable of advancing worker-centric policies.

The endorsed congressional list features a mix of incumbents and challengers across both parties: Brian Fitzpatrick (R-1st), Brendan Boyle (D-2nd), Madeleine Dean (D-4th), Mary Gay Scanlon (D-5th), Chrissy Houlahan (D-6th), Bob Brooks (D-7th), Robert Bresnahan (R-8th), Janelle Stelson (D-10th), Summer Lee (D-12th), and Chris Deluzio (D-17th). These candidates secured the union’s backing by either voting for or pledging to support the Faster Labor Contracts Act.

Governor Shapiro’s endorsement marks a continuation of the union’s partnership with the incumbent administration. The Conference, which represents more than 90,000 workers across the Commonwealth, highlighted Shapiro’s history of bipartisan cooperation as the primary driver for his renewed support.
