Dr. Thaper, who is board-certified in both internal medicine and hematology, arrives at the 460 N. Orlando Ave. facility following extensive training at the University of Florida. Her clinical background includes a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology in Gainesville. She earned her medical degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
David Wenk, MD, assistant managing physician at FCS, noted that her background in patient-centered care and leadership will bolster the institute's regional presence. A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, Thaper integrates multidisciplinary strategies to manage patient treatment plans from diagnosis through long-term care.
