James Taylor Appointed CFO at West Ham United

James Taylor has been named the new Chief Financial Officer at West Ham United. He transitions to the East London club following a three-year tenure at Rangers, bringing experience from a previous career at Mastercard to a team currently preparing for the 2026–27 EFL Championship season.

Taylor confirmed his appointment via LinkedIn, emphasizing his familiarity with the club’s leadership team. He will reunite with Interim CEO Karim Virani and Director of Recruitment Nils Koppen, noting that their established operational standards played a pivotal role in his decision to accept the position.

During his time at Ibrox, Taylor oversaw financial and operational improvements for the Scottish club. He now faces the task of stabilizing West Ham’s internal structure as the side navigates its return to the Championship. He expressed a commitment to supporting the board and staff in the club's long-term efforts to regain its standing in English football.
