The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom residence was first moved to the rental market in June with a $65,000 monthly asking price. Despite the reduction, the property remains listed for sale through Carolwood Estates. Prospective tenants face stringent requirements, including a $195,000 security deposit and a pre-qualification process before they are permitted to tour the 1929 home designed by architect A.K. Kellogg.
The couple purchased the gated estate for $11.85 million in 2015. Since Ozzy’s death in July 2025, Sharon has moved to divest from the Los Angeles market, citing a desire to return to the United Kingdom and dissatisfaction with California tax burdens. This strategy follows the recent sale of a smaller apartment in West Hollywood’s Sierra Towers, which closed for $2.1 million—a loss compared to the $2.25 million purchase price in 2022.
While the Hancock Park property features extensive amenities, including a mosaic-tiled pool, a wood-paneled library, and a chef’s kitchen, it has struggled to find a buyer since being re-listed in April 2026. Financial reports indicate the estate carries significant historical loans, though the exact debt load remains private. For now, the residence sits as a dual-market listing, with Sharon remaining open to either a full sale or a high-end rental agreement.
