New Incident Report Details Perez Hilton’s Emergency Hospitalization

A Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office report reveals that emergency responders treated celebrity blogger Perez Hilton for both multiple lacerations and an overdose during the August 4 crisis at his home. The document marks the first official confirmation of the medical complexities faced by paramedics after they entered his residence.

Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., known professionally as Perez Hilton, remains under medical and psychiatric care following the incident, which occurred while he was broadcasting live on TikTok. His sister, Barbara Lavandeira, who alerted authorities after discovering him in distress, has emphasized that his path to recovery will be extensive. The family has restricted his access to all digital communication, prioritizing his stability as he undergoes treatment.

The released report does not specify the substances involved in the overdose or their origin. This ambiguity complicates connections to a previous incident earlier in the summer, during which Hilton voluntarily sought psychiatric help after ingesting leftover surgical painkillers. Despite a brief period of perceived improvement and his recent engagement with an intensive outpatient program, the August 4 emergency forced a significant intervention by law enforcement and fire rescue teams, who established a perimeter around the home before securing him for medical transport.

Beyond the immediate crisis, Hilton has faced a punishing year of physical health challenges, including a 21-day hospital stay in March for sepsis and a perforated ulcer, followed by surgery for a leg blood clot. His mother, Teresita Lavandeira, has since filed for temporary custody of his three children to ensure their stability. The family continues to defer to medical professionals regarding his long-term prognosis, requesting privacy as he navigates the recovery process.
