Woodsboro Bank Taps Brian Ropp for Chief Financial Officer Role

After three decades navigating capital markets and community banking, Brian Ropp is stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer at Woodsboro Bank. He replaces Patty Muldoon, who will shift to a senior advisory position as the Maryland-based institution looks to sharpen its long-term growth strategy.

Ropp arrives at the Frederick-based bank following a stint as Managing Director at Kroll Bond Rating Agency, where he managed credit analysis for over 150 U.S. financial institutions. His resume includes a decade and a half at T. Rowe Price and a previous tenure as CFO for another Maryland community bank, an experience the company hopes will prove vital as it scales its operations.

Rich Ohnmacht, President and CEO of Woodsboro Bank, cited Ropp’s specific regional background and national industry insight as key factors in the hiring decision. A Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from the University of Chicago, Ropp is also a fixture in the local Frederick County civic scene, having served as president of the local Rotary Club. He intends to focus on maintaining the bank's established culture while steering its financial operations toward sustained, disciplined growth.
