New 80-Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Breaks Ground in Redlands

The project is a joint venture between PMB, Loma Linda University Health, and Lifepoint Rehabilitation. Once completed in the summer of 2028, the facility will serve as a dedicated hub for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, neurological diseases, and spinal cord trauma. The site will feature multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums and adaptive units designed to facilitate intensive physical, occupational, and speech pathology services.

Nolan Weinberg, senior vice president of development at PMB, described the project as a critical bridge between acute medical care and daily independence. By relocating its existing inpatient unit to this new, standalone campus, Loma Linda University Health intends to improve access to specialized care within the local community. The development team includes Layton Construction as the general contractor, with architectural design provided by Material Design Architects and financing secured through Harrison Street Asset Management.
