The Tampa-based company reported a gross margin of 23.9% for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, up from 16.0% a year earlier. This efficiency gain stems from reduced claims processing expenses and a broader effort to cut overhead. Total operating expenses fell to $7.6 million, an 8% reduction compared to the same period in 2025, as the firm leaned into AI-driven solutions to replace traditional administrative costs.
Chief Executive Officer Damien Lamendola stated that the results reflect a disciplined approach to revamping the cost structure. While revenue remains pressured by customer turnover, the company is betting on a leaner, technology-first model to support future scalability. To stabilize its balance sheet, Marpai recently extended the maturity dates on its senior secured convertible debentures and AXA notes. Following the quarter's close, the company secured $12.1 million in gross proceeds through a private placement of Series A Preferred Stock to bolster its capital position.
