The tool addresses a common clinical challenge by allowing users to achieve a custom fit for their appliances without the struggle of traditional cutting methods. The design focuses on preventing the accidental leakage of stool or urine, offering a more secure solution for patients and medical facilities alike. A working prototype is already available to demonstrate its functionality.
The project is currently managed by the Orange County office of InventHelp and is open for licensing or acquisition by manufacturers. The company is actively promoting the design to medical providers and marketers interested in streamlining ostomy care.
