Pulmatrix Reports Q2 Results Amidst Eos SENOLYTIX Merger Push

Pulmatrix is moving toward a third-quarter close on its merger with Eos SENOLYTIX, filing a Form S-4 registration statement to finalize the deal. The biopharmaceutical company, which is currently scaling back its own clinical operations, reported a net loss of $1.0 million for the second quarter of 2026.

Interim CEO Peter Ludlum confirmed that the company’s primary objective remains the completion of the merger with Eos SENOLYTIX, a firm specializing in gerotherapeutic peptides and mitochondrial health. As Pulmatrix prepares to transition its business model, it is actively seeking to out-license or monetize its existing clinical assets, including the iSPERSE™ dry powder inhalation technology. Clinical development for its proprietary pipeline is currently on hold, a shift reflected in the company's reduced research and development spending, which totaled less than $0.1 million for the quarter.

Financial statements show a cash and cash equivalents balance of $2.2 million as of June 30, 2026, down from $4.1 million at the end of 2025. Management acknowledges that the company’s ability to continue as a going concern depends on these remaining resources and the successful consummation of the merger. General and administrative expenses saw a notable decline of $0.5 million, reaching $1.0 million for the quarter, largely driven by lower legal, patent, and software costs. The company maintains that its current cash position is sufficient to sustain operations through the anticipated closing date of the merger.
