The Potter's House Expands Support for Dallas Students

The effort centers on a multi-pronged approach to student success. On August 9, the church surprised a mechanical engineering student and active youth ministry member by covering his entire first semester of college tuition. This act of support, delivered during a Sunday service, highlights the ministry's shift toward individualized assistance for congregants navigating the transition to university life.

Beyond one-off tuition gifts, the organization is scaling its impact through partnerships. Collaborating with The HBCU Project, the church plans to award five scholarships to local high school seniors attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This follows a recent initiative on August 3, where volunteers and designers partnered with the University of North Texas to fully furnish dorm rooms for 10 incoming students who have aged out of the foster care system. As The Potter's House marks its 30th anniversary under the leadership of co-senior pastors Touré Roberts and Sarah Jakes Roberts, these programs signify a focus on immediate, tangible community infrastructure.
