Bank of America Pledges $250 Billion for U.S. Infrastructure

Bank of America has unveiled a $250 billion financing initiative aimed at modernizing American infrastructure over the next 18 months. Commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary, the program seeks to bolster digital, energy, and core transportation systems while driving job growth from January 2026 through July 2027.

The capital commitment focuses on three primary sectors: digital infrastructure, including data centers and semiconductor manufacturing; energy and power generation; and core assets such as water systems, grid optimization, and critical mining. By leveraging its global capital markets platform and advisory services, the bank intends to provide the necessary liquidity to meet surging demand for computing power and modernized supply chains.

Jim DeMare, Co-President of Bank of America, stated that the initiative underscores confidence in the long-term trajectory of the U.S. economy. The bank’s leadership emphasized that the funding is intended to foster technological competitiveness and strengthen energy security. Karen Fang, Global Head of Infrastructure and Sustainable Finance, noted that the complexity of modern infrastructure requires integrated financing that spans both public and private markets to generate lasting value for communities.

Beyond direct financing, the project aligns with the bank's broader workforce development efforts. The firm plans to support the creation of tens of thousands of jobs by connecting capital investments with vocational training programs. This strategy builds on the bank's 2025 track record, which saw nearly $40 million directed toward workforce partners to assist over 90,000 individuals in securing employment.
