The expansion will target Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties, with plans to open three additional stores annually over the next four years. Hole Lotta Dough, now based in Auburn Hills, is led by operators with two decades of experience in the local convenience store industry and a personal history with the brand from their time in Houston.
Shipley, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, built its reputation on a 3 a.m. baking schedule and its "Hot Glazed Guarantee," which promises warm donuts until 10 a.m. The menu also features kolaches—savory breakfast pastries stuffed with sausage, egg, and cheese—alongside espresso-based drinks like the Classic Glazed Latte. This move into Michigan follows a similar three-unit deal in Cincinnati, signaling a broader strategy to solidify the company's presence across the Midwest.
