Velo3D Raises 2026 Revenue Guidance Amidst Capacity Expansion

Velo3D reported a 52.3% year-over-year revenue increase to $20.7 million for the second quarter of 2026, prompting management to raise its full-year guidance. The metal additive manufacturing firm now anticipates annual revenue between $65 million and $75 million, buoyed by a strengthened balance sheet and plans for a new production campus.

The company’s quarterly performance reflects a shift toward higher manufacturing efficiency and increased demand from the aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. Gross margins reached 21.5%, a significant improvement over the negative 11.7% reported in the same period last year. This recovery is attributed to higher average selling prices and refined cost allocation strategies.

Central to the company's growth plan is the upcoming Livermore Production Campus, designed to triple manufacturing capacity. Alongside this infrastructure investment, Velo3D has secured key partnerships with firms like Mears Machine Corporation and Aurelia Technologies to bolster its distributed manufacturing capabilities. With $91.1 million in cash and cash equivalents—bolstered by a $50 million direct offering and at-the-market share sales—the company has also reduced its total outstanding debt by over 70%, leaving $8.2 million on the books as of June 30, 2026.
