Verdek Extends Florida Procurement Contract, Adds Tesla Superchargers

The renewal of the FSA26-PWR5.0 contract marks a strategic shift for municipal fleets, school districts, and public safety departments across the state. By integrating the Tesla Supercharger into the pre-competed lineup, Verdek offers a streamlined path to high-power DC fast-charging technology that previously required separate, time-consuming procurement efforts. Agencies now have access to a total of 22 awarded items from nine manufacturers, ranging from workplace Level 2 chargers to industrial-scale transit depot solutions.

Verdek’s expanded portfolio includes hardware from companies such as ABB, Autel, ChargePoint, Samsung, and Tritium, alongside mobile power units like the Charge Rigs FLEXX. According to Verdek CEO Guy Mannino, this consolidation allows local governments to standardize their infrastructure through a single vendor while maintaining the flexibility to select hardware tailored to specific site requirements. The Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program, which facilitates these deals, aims to reduce the administrative load for public entities while ensuring competitive pricing for essential fleet electrification projects.
