Oticon Debuts Reveal Hearing Aid Featuring Dual AI Processing

In Smørum, Denmark, Oticon has unveiled its Reveal hearing aid, the first device to utilize a dual-engine artificial intelligence system. By splitting processing tasks between speech enhancement and ambient sound preservation, the company aims to move beyond traditional noise-reduction methods to create a more natural auditory experience for users.

The new hardware relies on the Reveal AI platform, which integrates two simultaneous systems. The Speech AI component isolates and clarifies voices, while the Context AI monitors and balances surrounding environmental sounds. Oticon claims this architecture generates a 60% stronger brain response compared to leading competitors by mimicking the human brain’s natural approach to processing complex soundscapes.

Unlike previous industry standards that relied on aggressive noise reduction to isolate speech, the Reveal system maintains constant, real-time adjustments across all environments. Anja Nagel L'harraki, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, stated that this approach marks a shift in how assistive technology supports cognitive sound interpretation. The device also introduces an updated connectivity platform featuring Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast support, designed to improve streaming stability and hands-free call quality without sacrificing battery performance.
