Edgify secures $9 million to expand edge AI beyond retail

London-based Edgify has closed a $9 million Series A+ funding round to scale its hardware-agnostic AI platform. Backed by Rank Ventures and Mangrove Capital Partners, the company aims to move beyond its roots in retail loss prevention to deploy self-learning networks across global industrial sectors and distribution centers.

The latest capital injection brings the firm’s total funding to $25 million. Edgify’s technology allows in-store equipment from various manufacturers, including Zebra Technologies and Bizerba, to function as a unified, self-learning system. By processing data locally rather than in the cloud, the platform addresses real-world constraints regarding latency, privacy, and operational costs.

CEO and co-founder Nadav Israel stated that the company intends to replicate the friction-solving capabilities currently used in grocery and convenience stores across the wider industrial landscape. COO Mitchell Goldman emphasized that retail served as the initial testing ground for the technology, but the core value lies in translating isolated hardware into a cohesive system capable of supporting diverse AI applications at scale.
