Investors Face August 24 Deadline in First Solar Securities Lawsuit

Investors who purchased First Solar, Inc. securities between February 26, 2025, and February 24, 2026, face an August 24, 2026, deadline to apply as lead plaintiff in a pending securities fraud class action. The lawsuit alleges that the company misled shareholders regarding its ability to navigate shifting U.S. tariff policies.

The legal action brought by the Rosen Law Firm centers on claims that First Solar executives misrepresented the company’s capacity to manage trade policy impacts. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the firm failed to disclose how the underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, coupled with the attempted relocation of manufacturing to the United States, would negatively affect financial performance for the 2026 fiscal year. These omissions allegedly left investors with a distorted view of the company’s projected growth and operational stability.

Shareholders who incurred losses during the specified period may seek to represent the class by filing a motion with the court. While no class has been certified yet, those wishing to participate must act before the upcoming deadline. Investors retain the right to choose their own counsel or remain absent class members, as the ability to recover damages is not strictly contingent upon serving as the lead plaintiff. The Rosen Law Firm, which has previously secured significant settlements in securities litigation, is currently soliciting inquiries from affected parties through their New York office.
