Independent board chair Doug Brooks stated that the new directors provide complementary skills for navigating complex, customer-focused growth. Southwest CEO Bob Jordan emphasized that the leadership additions are intended to support the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience and refine its strategic priorities. Both incoming directors expressed confidence in the airline’s brand and its ability to innovate within the competitive travel market.
