Continuous Composites Sues Fibre Seek Over Patent Infringement

The legal action, initiated in August 2026, marks the end of a prolonged effort by Continuous Composites to resolve intellectual property disputes without court intervention. CEO Steve Starner stated that the litigation covers core technologies developed over fifteen years, rather than isolated features. The company, which pioneered the CF3D platform, currently holds a portfolio of over 120 U.S. patents and 40 international filings.

Continuous Composites claims that Fibre Seek’s manufacturing systems mirror its own proprietary methods for combining reinforcement fibers with polymer matrix materials. Following an initial contact in 2023 and a formal licensing term sheet provided in June 2024, discussions stalled throughout 2025. With the case now before the courts, the company maintains that defending its research investment remains a necessity for its partners and investors.
