The integration of Simbe’s technology into the Kroger network aims to automate routine shelf monitoring, allowing staff to shift focus toward direct customer assistance. Shaun Buck of Smith's Food & Drug Centers noted that the deployment provides the store with better insights into in-stock conditions, ensuring shelves remain organized and fully stocked.
Beyond Kroger, the Tally solution is seeing broader adoption at Homebase USA. Following a successful pilot program, Homebase reported a 92% reduction in pricing errors and a 58% decrease in controllable out-of-stock items. The automation also significantly accelerated inventory auditing, shrinking the time required for physical counts from three days to under one. For Homebase CEO Joel McLiney, the data-driven approach has provided a clear roadmap for prioritizing daily tasks, ultimately leading to a more consistent shopping experience across rural markets in Texas, Wyoming, Kansas, and Missouri.
