For Pacaso, which modernizes luxury vacation-home ownership through a co-ownership model, the expansion into new U.S. markets has historically been slowed by the complexities of local real estate boards. AnyProp now serves as the technical bridge, providing a unified, RESO-compliant API that consolidates disparate listing feeds into a single data layer. This arrangement allows Pacaso’s engineering teams to prioritize product development over the maintenance of individual MLS connections.
"Adding a new market should be a product decision, not a months-long data integration project," said Lawrence Zhou, co-founder of AnyProp. The platform handles the intricacies of IDX and VOW licensing, alongside the ongoing regulatory requirements that vary by region. Marnie Blanco, Pacaso’s senior vice president of industry relations, noted that the partnership enables the company to focus on property curation while AnyProp manages the operational heavy lifting of data feed stability and compliance. This collaboration reflects a broader trend in proptech, where companies are increasingly outsourcing the fragmented, localized infrastructure of the U.S. real estate market to specialized data platforms.
