Executive Director Matt Wehby describes the gathering as a reflection of the town’s character, offering residents a chance to explore new customs and celebrate shared traditions. The event draws upwards of 3,000 attendees annually, positioning itself as a centerpiece of the district’s summer programming.
Younger attendees can participate in a "Travel Around the World" passport activity. The first 200 children to arrive receive a passport to fill with stamps by visiting various cultural and community booths. This interactive element aims to turn the festival into an educational experience, encouraging local youth to engage directly with the traditions represented in their neighborhood. Visitors are advised to check parking and scheduling details at WheelingInternationalFestival.com before heading to the 201 Community Blvd. venue.
