North Texas Cities Launch Innovation Pitch Competition for Startups

The competition, spearheaded by the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, and the North Texas Innovation Alliance, targets both early and growth-stage companies. Participants are tasked with proposing deployable solutions for city monitoring, fleet optimization, and environmental resource management. These projects are intended to streamline local government operations while improving services for residents.

Applications remain open through August 31, with finalists scheduled to present their work in Frisco and McKinney on October 21. Winners gain access to pilot programs, office space, and direct networking opportunities with public agency executives and regional investors. Jennifer Sanders, Executive Director of the North Texas Innovation Alliance, noted that the program emphasizes the region's collaborative approach to integrating technology directly into community infrastructure.
