Photronics Investors Face Deadline in Securities Fraud Lawsuit

A 36% single-day stock plunge has triggered a class action lawsuit against Photronics, Inc., with Hagens Berman calling for investors to step forward by September 4, 2026. The litigation centers on claims that the company misled shareholders about the health of its high-end integrated circuit product pipeline during late 2025.

The legal action, filed in the wake of the company's May 28, 2026, financial disclosures, alleges that Photronics management provided false assurances regarding global demand and order patterns. While the firm touted a robust outlook, the lawsuit asserts that internal bottlenecks and rising equipment costs were already hampering the business. These issues remained undisclosed until the company revealed an 11% drop in IC revenues and compressed margins, an admission that erased $1.1 billion from its market capitalization.

Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner heading the investigation, is now scrutinizing internal timelines to determine when leadership became aware of the deteriorating demand. The legal team is currently soliciting input from affected investors who traded Photronics securities between December 10, 2025, and May 27, 2026. Beyond the class action, the firm is also fielding information from potential whistleblowers, pointing to federal incentives for those who provide original evidence of corporate misconduct.
