PTC Launches Arena Connect to Bridge Manufacturing Data Silos

Manufacturers struggling to synchronize product development across disjointed software suites now have a centralized integration tool. PTC’s new Arena Connect, debuting within the 2026.2 release, aims to eliminate manual data entry and custom coding by linking PLM, QMS, and ERP systems through a unified visual interface.

As companies scale, product information often becomes trapped within isolated platforms, forcing teams to rely on manual updates or expensive, bespoke integrations. Arena Connect addresses this by providing a centralized framework to automate data movement across the product value chain. The tool includes a visual workflow builder and a library of over 200 pre-built connectors for common enterprise platforms such as Jira, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

David Katzman, general manager of Onshape and Arena at PTC, noted that manufacturers need better connectivity between existing tools rather than additional complex systems. Beyond basic integration, the 2026.2 release introduces AI-driven features, including an assistant capable of summarizing product changes and comparing revisions using natural language. These updates, combined with automated bill-of-materials (BOM) compliance checks, are designed to streamline supply chain management and improve data synchronization between CAD and PLM environments.
