Storyteller Overland Expands 2027 Lineup Amidst Sales Surge

Storyteller Overland is pushing further into the adventure vehicle market with the launch of its 2027 lineup, introducing nine models including the GXV WILD and the Grand Bohemian. The expansion comes as the Birmingham-based manufacturer reports a 51.7% increase in year-to-date sales, defying a broader industry downturn.

The company’s growth signals a shift in consumer preference from traditional recreational vehicles to rugged, off-road capable adventure rigs. While the overall Class B market saw a 7.8% decline in retail sales through May 2026, Storyteller’s market share grew by 64.6%. CEO Neil Grimmer attributes this success to a focus on community and versatile design, noting that the new models are engineered to meet specific lifestyle needs rather than simply serving as transit.

The 2027 fleet covers a diverse range of platforms. The flagship 144" MODE vans have received interior refinements, including a redesigned galley and quieter hardware. For those requiring more space, the 170" platform now includes the TOUR MODE, featuring an nVader roof rack and integrated awning. Connectivity is prioritized across the range, with Starlink Mini becoming standard on several models.

Beyond the vans, the company is diversifying its truck-based offerings. The GXV line, which includes the heavy-duty EPIC and the RAM 5500-based HILT, is now joined by the GXV WILD. Built on a RAM 3500 chassis, the WILD is designed as an accessible entry point with a unique FlipOut Rear Deck. Meanwhile, the Grand Bohemian brings a luxury, compact approach to the segment, utilizing the INEOS Grenadier platform. These additions reinforce Storyteller’s strategy of catering to both seasoned overlanders and those seeking a daily driver capable of tackling the Pan American trail.
