MellingMedical Partners with NIDEK USA to Supply Federal Eye Care

The collaboration leverages MellingMedical’s status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to navigate the complex federal procurement landscape. By utilizing MellingMedical’s established contract infrastructure, NIDEK USA intends to accelerate the deployment of its diagnostic portfolio—including the Mirante Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope, the AFC-330 Auto Fundus Camera, and the MP-3 Microperimeter—directly into clinical settings that support veterans and active-duty personnel.

For NIDEK, the agreement provides a direct pathway into the nation’s largest integrated medical system. MellingMedical currently holds supply schedules that reach 172 VA Medical Centers, 1,138 outpatient clinics, and 95 Department of Defense medical facilities. Chris Melling, founder and CEO of MellingMedical, stated that the partnership focuses on ensuring that those who have served the nation gain access to high-quality therapeutic solutions.
