Ericsson Continues Multi-Billion Buyback Push

Ericsson accelerated its ongoing capital return strategy last week, repurchasing 3.5 million Class B shares between July 27 and July 31, 2026. The transactions, executed via Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE on Nasdaq Stockholm, totaled approximately 331.27 million Swedish kronor at a weighted average price of 94.65 SEK per share.

These acquisitions form a core component of the company's 15 billion SEK buyback program, which launched in April 2026 and is scheduled to conclude by the end of March 2027. The board currently intends to cancel the majority of these repurchased shares during the 2027 Annual General Meeting, excluding those earmarked for internal incentive obligations.

Following this latest round of activity, Ericsson now holds 91,169,316 treasury shares. The total outstanding share capital remains at 3,371,351,735 units, split between Class A and Class B holdings. The program operates under the European Union’s Market Abuse Regulation and Safe Harbour provisions to ensure compliance during the market-facing execution of these trades.
