Sharpe, whose background includes roles at Boston Consulting Group and KPMG, officially stepped down from her position as Head of Loyalty on July 31st. Reflecting on her time at the retailer, she described the experience as a full-circle moment, recalling childhood visits to the iconic Marble Arch store where she would later spearhead the relaunch of the Sparks programme. Her work focused on shifting the platform toward a more personalized and engaging model, a transformation she credits to the commitment of her wider retail team.
Following her departure, Sharpe intends to establish Sharpe Consulting, a firm dedicated to guiding organizations through customer loyalty and digital transformation challenges. While she prepares for a transition to island life with her family, she noted that the move away from M&S was a difficult decision, emphasizing the personal connection she developed with the brand throughout her career.
