Early findings from an ongoing investigator-initiated trial show a favorable safety profile, with the first patient dosed earlier this year. Researchers designed this multicellular approach to attack tumors that express mesothelin, effectively managing the diverse antigen landscapes often found in solid-tumor microenvironments.
Simultaneously, the company introduced TMT Engager, an LNP-mRNA-based solution that facilitates the formation of tripartite conjugates between T cells, macrophages, and tumor cells. By triggering both innate and adaptive immune responses, this method has shown significant efficacy in preclinical liver and ovarian cancer models. To scale these breakthroughs, CellOrigin has partnered with Walvax Biotechnology. This collaboration focuses on an investigator-initiated trial for hepatocellular carcinoma, combining CellOrigin’s precision CAR design with Walvax’s large-scale manufacturing and regulatory infrastructure to accelerate clinical translation.
