The installation involved 2,020 square feet of TigerTurf Sierra, a product selected for its durability and soft texture. The material features an Omega blade shape, a 60-ounce face weight, and a 1.625-inch pile height, designed to withstand the region's intense sunlight and daily foot traffic. Beyond aesthetics, the turf includes a permeable backing that supports drainage rates exceeding 400 inches per hour, a critical feature for households with pets.
Marco Perfecto, owner of the family-run Royal SD Landscaping Corp., noted that the clients prioritized material quality and tactile comfort when choosing the Sierra style. Perfecto moved away from standard neighborhood templates, instead creating a custom layout that integrates with the existing paver patio. This client-focused philosophy defines the company, which Perfecto launched 11 years ago to provide more collaborative design services. The project earned the firm Synthetic Grass Warehouse's Install of the Month award for June 2026, showcasing a shift toward low-maintenance landscaping solutions that eliminate the need for traditional irrigation and upkeep.
