The donated proteins are currently moving through a distribution network of 309 partner agencies, which includes local shelters, senior centers, and food pantries. PMI Foods President Darin Parker noted that the initiative reflects a long-standing tradition of community resilience during the nation's milestone celebration.
Ginette Bott, President and CEO of the Utah Food Bank, identified high-quality protein as one of the most difficult resources to secure for their operations.
