The new tool functions within Ensora's flagship products, TheraNest and Fusion, requiring no external installations or data exports. Ensai operates through three primary features: a session assistant that records and drafts clinical notes, a enhancement tool that refines clinician-written drafts, and an in-platform support assistant that answers operational queries. By design, the AI remains inactive during active therapy sessions to avoid disrupting the provider-patient relationship, a key concern identified in company research.
Research conducted by Ensora in 2026 highlights that 81% of surveyed counselors face burnout, largely attributed to the administrative burden of documentation. To address these concerns, Ensai is built with a non-training data policy, ensuring that client protected health information is never used to refine AI models or shared for commercial gain. CEO John Damgaard emphasized that the technology is intended to support the human element of therapy rather than replace it, noting that session recordings are deleted within 24 hours of note generation. While the session assistant is a paid add-on, other capabilities like the support assistant and note enhancement are being integrated into the platform's standard offerings throughout the coming months.
