Michael B. Jordan Endorses David Jonsson as New Black Panther Lead

Marvel Studios unveiled Jonsson as the successor to the mantle during their San Diego Comic-Con presentation. This narrative shift allows the studio to continue the T’Challa bloodline following the 2020 death of Chadwick Boseman, whose character was not recast in the 2022 sequel.

Letitia Wright, who assumed the Black Panther role after Boseman’s passing, shared that she has a personal connection with Jonsson and looks forward to guiding his character on screen. While Marvel has confirmed a December 15, 2028, release date for the film, Jordan’s involvement remains unconfirmed.
