Ramaco Resources Releases Preliminary Hatch Report on Brook Mine

Ramaco Resources has unveiled an initial assessment from Hatch Associates Consultants regarding the Brook Mine in Sheridan, Wyoming. The study outlines a carbochlorination process for extracting rare earth and critical minerals, marking a strategic attempt by the company to establish a domestic supply chain for industrial technology.

The Hatch report provides a preliminary process definition alongside capital and operating cost estimates for the site. Chairman and CEO Randall W. Atkins described the analysis as a milestone in the company's broader vision of creating an integrated critical minerals platform. While the Brook Mine remains in the exploration stage, the company is positioning the project as a potential long-term supplier for American manufacturing.

This development follows the 5th Annual Ramaco Research Rodeo held in July, where industry stakeholders discussed the future of carbon products and energy innovation. Despite the technical progress, the company cautions that the Hatch study is a scoping document based on limited data. There is no current guarantee that the Brook Mine will reach commercial scale or that existing resource estimates will be converted into proven reserves, as the initiative requires significant ongoing investment.
