O'Keeffe spent over eight years at Doddle, most recently serving as Director of Operations. He now brings a decade of specialized experience in the out-of-home sector to Royal Mail, aiming to accelerate the integration of parcel lockers across the UK. He noted that the rapid evolution of customer expectations for seamless PUDO (pick-up, drop-off) locations makes this a pivotal moment for the industry.
Royal Mail is currently testing a new locker format at selected Tesco stores, allowing users to send, collect, and return parcels around the clock. These units, already live in locations including Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Preston, feature integrated label printing to assist customers who lack home printing capabilities. This initiative is part of a broader network that now encompasses 25,000 access points, including 11,500 Post Office branches and 2,600 automated lockers.
