The firm’s longevity is rooted in a unique transition from a solo venture to a multi-generational operation. Gregory Schwartz, Sr. initially launched the business to provide community-focused investment research, but the firm eventually scaled through the contributions of his five sons—Gregory, Jr., Walter, Joseph, Edward, and Peter. Today, the organization employs 44 professionals, including seven members of the third generation, maintaining its headquarters at the historic corner of Maple and Lahser in Michigan while operating a secondary hub in Naples, Florida.
Under the leadership of President and CEO Edward Schwartz, the firm has aggressively diversified its portfolio. Since launching the institutional services sector in 1993, the company now advises more than 190 retirement plans, foundations, and endowments. This institutional arm operates alongside a rapidly expanding investment banking division, led by Matt Miller, which serves both private and public corporations. Despite this national growth, the firm emphasizes that its original wealth management practice remains the cornerstone of its operations. To commemorate the milestone, the company hosted celebratory events in Michigan and Florida, the latter of which supported the American Association of University Women.
