The lawsuit, Yappi v. Wix.com Ltd., claims that the web development platform misled shareholders regarding the competitiveness and financial performance of its AI-driven product offerings. Specifically, the complaint alleges that Wix overstated the benefits of its AI tools while understating the development and promotion costs associated with its 2025 acquisition of the "vibe coding" platform Base44.
Throughout the class period, the company’s stock price suffered a series of sharp declines following earnings reports and analyst downgrades. Shares dropped significantly after the company revealed that costs linked to Base44 were eroding margins and that its professional developer business was losing ground to competing AI tools. By May 2026, the company acknowledged that its new Wix Harmony platform lacked critical capabilities, further impacting its market position. Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, the firm representing the plaintiffs, is inviting investors who suffered substantial losses to participate in the litigation.
