Villa Vie Expands Residential Fleet with Legacy Launch

As Villa Vie Odyssey marks two years of continuous global travel, the company is doubling down on its residential maritime model. It announced Legacy, a second vessel scheduled for 2029, as demand for its initial ship pushes occupancy past the 85% threshold among those seeking a permanent life at sea.

The upcoming vessel aims to capture a more premium market, with residences roughly 50% larger than those currently found on the Odyssey. Mike Petterson, founder of Villa Vie Residences, described the new ship as a natural evolution of the company’s operational experience. Owners can expect elevated amenities, including expanded dining venues and enhanced wellness facilities, though these additions come with a projected 30% increase in maintenance costs compared to the original ship.

To bridge the gap until the 2029 launch, the company is rolling out the Legacy Bridge Program. Limited to 24 participants, this initiative allows new buyers to begin their residency on the Odyssey immediately. These individuals will retain the right to transition to the Legacy upon its debut without paying additional upgrade fees or facing the vessel's higher maintenance premiums. Furthermore, the company is integrating its Endless Horizons program across the entire fleet, granting lifetime members permanent residency rights on both ships as the brand scales its operations.
