This casting decision arrives amid reports of a private legal dispute between Boseman’s brothers and his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, regarding the management of the late actor’s estate. Marvel has opted to move forward by introducing a new generation, effectively bypassing the need to recast the original T’Challa while keeping the character's legacy central to the Wakandan mythos.
