CIRCA Scientific Taps Industry Veteran Jack Darby as CEO

Darby joins the firm at a pivotal juncture, moving into the role previously held by Lee Geist, who will transition to Chief Operating Officer while retaining his seat on the Board of Directors. The leadership shuffle follows the FDA approval of the CrossWise RF Transseptal Access System and the PeriCross Epicardial Access Kit, products that supplement the company's existing footprint in esophageal temperature monitoring.

Before this appointment, Darby served as Vice President of the Cardiovascular Commercial Office at Medtronic and held the top executive post at Svelte Medical Systems. His background also includes leadership tenures at Cordis and AGA Medical. According to Chairman Doug Wall, the board selected Darby specifically for his expertise in scaling medical device organizations and driving physician adoption of new clinical technologies. The company intends to leverage this experience to expand its market presence and move its current portfolio into wider clinical use.
